I’ve kind of made a pact with myself not to get caught up in the whole Favre to Vikings drama.

But I am a weak individual.

While perusing ProFootballTalk.com, one of the best sites for NFL news, rumours, Seinfeld references and Mike Florio’s kids band (they’re called Henway and they’re not too bad…kind of like the Zack Attack from Saved by the Bell, with an edge.), I came across an interesting rumour.

According to PFT, citing an unnamed source, Brett Favre has already signed with the Vikings.  The team, and Favre, are waiting to release the news.  Florio’s source would neither confirm nor deny the story.  Also, it seems the Vikings have given the go-ahead to Reebok to produce Favre’s number 4 jersey, this time in Vikings purple.

Bus Cooks, his Favreness’ agent, when asked about the rumour, simply said, “No contract.”

Which means expect an announcement soon that Favre has signed a contract with the Vikings. [PFT]
