Antoine Walker Up To His Ass in Gambling Debts

Former NBA’er Antoine Walker, last seen playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2008, is in some financial trouble.

Make that BIG financial trouble.

Seems Walker likes to gamble like Charles Barkley…but unlike Barkley, Walker doesn’t believe in using, you know, real money.

The Las Vegas DA’s office has filed a criminal complaint against Antoine Walker for failing to pay back $822,500 in gambling debts.  The gambling debts were accrued by Walker passing $1 million in bad checks, good for three felony counts against the three-time NBA all star.

That was 10 checks, at $100,000 a piece.  Six checks were made out to Caesars Palace, and two each to Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort.

Not the brightest move for a guy trying to make a comeback to the NBA.

There’s an arrest warrant out for Walker, who, to his credit, did pay back some of the $1 million markers.  Unfortunately for Antoine, he now owes $82,550 to the DA’s office for taking on the criminal prosecution.

For those of you scoring at home…this is Walker’s second brush with the law this year.  In January he was busted for suspected drunk driving in Miami Beach.
