LeBron James Gets Dunked On by College Sophomore…We Think
Not news–LeBron James getting dunked on.
Barely news–by a 6-foot-4 sophomore from Xavier named Jordan Crawford.
News–LeBron and/or Nike had all video evidence of said dunk confiscated.
Wait..what?
As the story goes, Crawford threw down a dunk on King James during a pick-up game at LeBron’s “Skills Academy.” Immediately afterwards, LeBron said something to Nike officials at the game, who then confiscated all the video tapes of the incident.
Whether Nike did so at LeBron’s urging (childish), or because of some lame Nike policy regarding videotaping (asinine), the fact that the video evidence was snatched turned this from a non-news item to a media circus.
Note to LeBron…it’s OK big guy. Happens to the best of them. Next time, let the video be released so that we can all watch it once or twice on Youtube, be impressed, give the kid his 15 minutes, and let it wade off into obscurity. Period.
