Lets face it…the New York Mets are one of the biggest disappointments in baseball this year (and pretty well every year for the last 3 years).

With a wealth of talent, and a brand new stadium, the Mets sit in fourth in the NL East, 6 games below .500.

But it’s not entirely the Mets fault…they’ve been dogged by injuries this year, with a number of their keystone players on the shelf for lengthy periods.

And I’m sure having a guy like Tony Bernazard in the organization doesn’t help.

For those of you wondering who the f–k Tony Bernazard is, he’s the Mets VP for player development…and he is bat-shit insane.

Allegedly (and shit, I hope this is true), Bernazard made like Bruce Lee, ripping off his shirt and challenging the Mets AA farm club, the Binghamton Mets, to a fight during a post-game tirade.

Hell yeah!

One player in particular took the brunt of Bernazard’s shirtless insanity.  Middle infielder Jose Coronado was single out by Bernazard, at one point referring to the player using a slang term for female genitalia.

Mulva?

It’ll be interesting to see how the Mets handle this situation. [NY Daily News]
