Spurs Richard Jefferson Makes Like Julia Roberts in “Runaway Bride”

Call this one “Runaway Groom.”

The San Antonio Spurs Richard Jefferson ditched his soon-to-be new bride, Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols, at the altar…the night before the wedding.

A $2 million wedding at that.

Apparently Jefferson got a bad case of cold feet, and dumped his bride-to-be.  Unfortunately for many of the guests, Jefferson didn’t update family, friends and well-wishers until 2 hours before the nuptials were to take place.

But not everyone got the shaft in this case.  Jefferson’s pals made good use of the NBA’ers Black Amex credit card, which he so generously gave to his best friend before bailing on his wedding.

The boys made good use of Jefferson’s credit card, for sure.

At least the jilted Nichols called friends and family to let them know the strange, but not entirely surprising (to her anyway) turn of events.

Neither Jefferson or Nichols have answered requests for comment. [NY Daily News]
