Hey, scalpers, like you and me, gotta make a living too. Unfortunately they try doing so by, you know, engaging in illegal activities.
Any good scalper will tell you that a Monday Night Football game is pure gold. They can pretty well charge whatever they want, knowing some fuckwad will pay their exorbitant prices for tickets.
And any good scalper will tell you there’s going to be some haggling involved. But the back-and-forth between scalper and buyer is an inevitability that most scalpers are accustomed too.
Someone should’ve told this guy the rules of scalping though.
The guy in the picture is Hamin Basim Ansar, a scalper, who allegedly stabbed a potential buyer trying to purchase Dolphins/Jets tickets off him this past Monday night.
Apparently John Langsett was negotiating the price of said tickets with Ansar at 8:30 p.m., which is roughly kickoff. Ansar wanted $150 per ticket, but Langsett only had $100 cash, this according to Langsett’s father.
Then things got heated, and Ansar got all stabby.
Allegedly Ansar pulled a pocket knife on Langsett, and stabbed the 24-year-old in the upper chest and back of his head. A crowd of witnesses that saw the altercation overtook Ansar and held him until police arrived.
Langsett was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, treated, and released.
The Fins won the game 31-27. [SunSentinel via The Sporting Blog]
