Brett Myers and Cole Hamels Do a Little Bonding After Game 5 Win

And by bonding, I mean they nearly went toe-to-toe in the locker room after extending the series to a 6th game.

Brett Myers is a douche anyway, and Cole Hamels is a pretty-boy pussy, so I really have no love for either of these pricks.

But after hearing what went down, I gotta side with Hamels on this one.

In the locker room after game 5, Myers was walking past Hamels locker when he said, “What are you doing here? I thought you quit.”

This was a reference to Hamels, after losing game 3 of the series, when he said this…

“I can’t wait for it to end. It’s been mentally draining. At year end, you just can’t wait for a fresh start.”

Myers took this as a sign that Hamels was ready to quit on the team, and that he wished the season were over, like now.  Maybe he was justified, maybe he wasn’t.

Anyway, Hamels responded to Myers with an expletive (not sure what, but I’d guess it was “fuck off, you alleged wife-beating cock…at least that’s what I would’ve said), and before things could escalate, a team official escorted Myers away.
