New Details on Tiger Woods’ Car Accident Help Fill Gaping Holes

C’mon, after hearing the details surrounding Tiger Woods’ car accident, you had to know there was more to the story.  I mean really, there were more gaping holes in that story than an M. Knight Shyamalan piece o’ crap.  To recap for the 1% of you who don’t watch TV, read the newspaper, or use the Internet for something other than porn or World of Warcraft, Tiger Woods was in a car accident early yesterday morning, running over a fire hydrant and hitting a tree at 2:25 a.m.

He was listed in ‘serious’ condition, but later released.  Woods was said to have been suffering from facial lacerations.  The accident came on the heels of the always reliable National Enquirer’s story that Tiger was having an affair with Rachel Uchitel, a 34-year-old “party girl” from New York.

Throughout the day, more revelations came to light, the first being that Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, heard the accident, and rushed outside to find Tiger in his SUV, unconscious.  She apparently used a golf club to smash the back window out, then drag her 200 lb husband to safety, until emergency personnel arrived.

Now, if you’re like me, there’s gotta be red flags popping up everywhere.  First, where the hell was Tiger going at 2:25 in the morning.  Also, what caused him to wreck his car, while backing up, if he wasn’t drunk, as the police report indicates.  And why didn’t his wife, you know, try the door, instead of smashing the back window out and dragging Tiger to safety.

Oh, and when cops arrived, they stated that Elin Nordegren was “hovering” over a semi-conscious Tiger, with a golf club in her hand.  Woods was seen to have cuts and scratches on his face, supposedly inflicted during his low-speed collision with the hydrant/tree.  An accident in which his airbags did not deploy.

Anyone else besides me think that given the circumstances, seeing Elin Nordegren standing over a battered and semi-conscious Tiger Woods might be a bit, oh I don’t know, suspicious?

Later that day, the celebrity gossip site TMZ reported that Woods and his wife had an ‘altercation’ right before the accident occurred, presumably over Woods’ alleged mistress.

Well now, TMZ has come out with another story, and this one finally makes this whole mess make a lot more sense.  Now remember, this has not been confirmed, but if true, it makes a lot more sense than the whole ‘accident’ scenario.  It seems that Tiger’s facial wounds were not from the accident (really?), but were inflicted by an enraged Elin Nordegren.

As per TMZ…

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

Now that makes a hell of a lot more sense, to me anyway.  But I need to stress that these are unconfirmed facts–logical ones yes, but still, unconfirmed.

TMZ also goes on to say that Woods had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which may explain his diminished level of consciousness when police arrived on the scene.

I’m positive more facts will come out before this is all said and done.  Woods should thank his lucky stars he didn’t end up like Steve McNair–because it’s obvious that Elin Nordegren, for all her extreme hotness, has a badass streak in her a mile wide.
