There’s Someone in Raider Nation Even More Delusional Than Al Davis
I’m a glass half-full kind of guy. Always have been.
I guess Raiders CB Chris Johnson is too. Either that or he’s completely fucking retarded.
The Raiders are 2-6 at the halfway point of the season, and their play hasn’t been very inspirational. JaMarcus Russell is so bad that when now a mediocre game by the QB is cause for celebration. And don’t even get me started about coach Tom Cable.
And Al Davis is still ringmaster of the Raider circus.
But Davis may have some competition for “most delusional Raider,” after Johnson’s latest remarks.
After perusing the remainder of the schedule, Johnson honestly believes the Raiders can go 8-0 and finish the season 10-6.
Ummm…yeah.
“If you really want to look at it, you can go 8-0 and you might end up 10-6,” Johnson said Wednesday. “There’s a possible way you can actually do it.”
Oh yeah Chris, it’s possible. It’s also possible that Dane Cook may actually be funny some day, and it’s possible that the hair on my ass will eventually stop growing.
But to play devil’s advocate, here’s the Raiders remaining schedule, just to see if they really could go 8-0 the rest of the way.
vs. Kansas City (1-7)
vs. Cincinnati (6-2)
@ Dallas (6-2)
@ Pittsburgh (6-2)
vs. Washington (2-6)
@ Denver (6-2)
@ Cleveland (1-7)
vs. Baltimore (4-4)
Looking at that schedule, I don’t see a friggin’ chance in hell they go 8-0, let alone 4-4. If the Raiders go 8-0, hell, even 6-2 over their last 8 games, I will open mouth kiss a horse.
