Hi Brendan,
Just have been following you in the hockey games. My mom who has passed away and same with my grandparents but my question is–their last name was Shanahan also and I am wondering if we might be related. We have a grandson who plays hockey and just watches every hockey game you play and asked if I would find out if we might be related. My Grandfather’s name was Patrick J. Shanahan and Grandma’s name was Mary Francis Shanahan and my mom’s name was Theresa G. Shanahan/Black Married name. Hope to hear from you and keep up the good work. regards, Bev

Fast forward to last week. Rick Vaive’s kids ask Shanahan for his autograph. He not only signs, but poses for pictures and gives one of them a piggyback ride. Hall of Fame person and hockey player.
