A-Rod Set to Make His Big Screen Debut in “Friends With Benefits”
Oh snap! Alex Rodriguez, third baseman extraordinaire for the New York Yankees, will be making his film debut in the above named flick, a romantic comedy that follows the lives of two friends as they come out of calamitous relationships.
A-Rod will be acting alongside such Hollywood heavyweights as Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson. Little is known about the movie, but it’s safe to assume that Timberlake and Kunis are the pair of former lovers, Woody Harrelson will probably play some crazy, hemp smoking, lovable redneck loser…in other words, he’ll play himself, and the film itself will be formulaic and predictable.
As for A-Rod, the filmmakers will probably play it safe and not have him stretch his acting chops too much, so expect Rodriguez to portray a purple-lipped egomaniac professional baseball player or something of that ilk.
Or they could go completely around the bend and give him his dream role of a lifetime–a gun-toting, whiskey guzzling killer-for-hire, with a heart of gold. Oh, and he’s also a centaur.
That alone would be worth the price of admission.
