A-Rod Doesn’t Get the Memo, Misses Yankees Team Photo Shoot

The New York Yankees held their team photo shoot on Tuesday, and one player in particular was conspicuous by his absence.

Seems A-Rod failed to show up for the photo op, so the Yanks did the next best thing–they had a stand-in take Rodriguez’s place, so that he can be digitally added later on. So if you happen to catch a glimpse of the 2010 New York Yankees team photo, remember, you’re looking at the digitally added face of Alex Rodriguez on the body of Al Santasiere III, the Yankees’ director of publication.

What, didn’t A-Rod get the memo?

No, seriously…there was a memo. At each player’s locker. That every other player seemed to notice–save for Rodriguez.

It’s no wonder A-Rod is still stuck on 599 career dingers, wallowing in an 11 game homerless drought–his eyesight’s on the fritz. Seriously, get this guy to an optometrist and have his eyes checked. I mean, if he can’t see a memo on the seat in his locker, how can he properly see a 95 mph fastball?

Obviously he was just stuck at his own photo shoot. Maybe he was even looking at himself in a mirror from 2 ft away.
