New Vitaminwater Ad Featuring Gary Busey and Adrian Peterson Disturbingly Funny

Of course, whenever you give Gary Busey any kind of screen time, things are bound to deteriorate quickly into a white hot mess.

And this new Vitaminwater ad is no exception.

Busey plays Norman Tugwater, an obviously imbalanced “Fantasy Sports Attorney,” who’s out to get compensation for Adrian Peterson’s fantasy football rights, or something like that.  I had some trouble following the plot, only because Busey’s performance paralyzed me with fear.

Truthfully the ad is pretty hilarious.  Peterson does a pretty good job, considering he’s an athlete and not an actor, and is even able to garner a few laughs, especially when he’s stealing a stuffed moosehead.  Plus, I give him credit for getting through one take with Busey–that man is frightening, in both appearance and demeanor.

Shaq’s cameo is good for a chuckle too, but it’s Busey who steals the show.  Knowing how clearly insane Busey is, there’s probably a very good chance he believes he actually is Norman Tugwater, attorney at law.

Hell, after watching this commercial 3 or 4 times, I believed it myself.
