Slightly Off Topic: Airborne Car vs. Concrete Bridge Will Not End Well

A more spectacular crash you will not see…at least not today anyway.

It’s hard to make out, but that there is a 1985 Pontiac Firebird flying through the air, seconds away from a brutal impact with a concrete bridge.  By sheer luck a police officer had his cruiser cam running and caught the whole spectacular incident on tape…because if we didn’t see it, we wouldn’t believe it.

Prepare to be amazed and mortified, all at the same time…

And just like that, Newton’s Three Laws of Motion are clearly demonstrated.

Now, you’d think that a car going 100 mph before going airborne and smashing into the concrete post of bridge would mean instant death for the driver, especially after seeing that Firebird explode into three pieces. But no, Brennan S. Eden, 19-years-old, is still alive, albeit barely. He’s listed in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Sorry Darwin…better luck next time.

/took the high road and laid off the Dukes of Hazzard jokes
//Knight Rider jokes would have worked too, but I have too much respect for K.I.T.T.
