Dorothy Davidson is running for mayor of Bessemer, Alabama, and as it states on her campaign poster, she has a ringing endorsement from none other than Nick Saban, head football coach at Alabama.  That’s gotta be worth a good hundred thousand votes or so in the state of Alabama, no?

Or does she?

Even to the untrained eye, there’s just something off about that picture.  To the eye that has brains, it’s clear that there’s been some photoshopping going on.  Bad photoshopping at that.

Davidson claims that she got the OK from Saban himself three weeks ago.  University of Alabama athletics officials say otherwise.

“Coach Saban has not been contacted for a political endorsement of any kind,” Associate Athletics Director Jeff Purinton told the Birmingham News.

At first Davidson contended that her picture with Saban on a golf course was taken three weeks ago, and legit.  Then she got a load of this photo of Saban and his wife, circa 2007…

Oh snap!

Davidson changed her stance, finally confessing that yes she was (poorly) photoshopped into the 2007 pic, but that she was given the OK by Saban and/or his representatives to paste herself where his wife once stood.

“They said we could do it this way,” Davidson said.

What’s that Dorothy…photoshop yourself wearing the most godawful ugliest shirt in your wardrobe into a picture with Nick Saban?  Did they really say that?  Really?

No, not really.  But you get a B+ for effort, and a D- for integrity.  Best of luck in the mayoral election, Dot.
