Andy Reid Was Once a Mammoth 13-Year-Old Punt, Pass and Kick Competitor

During the telecast of the highly entertaining Colts-Eagles game on CBS, the network thought it’d be a hoot to show ancient video of Eagles coach Andy Reid as a 13-year-old, competing in a Punt, Pass and Kick competition.  Take a look at the picture and guess which one Reid is.

Since CBS aired the clip, it must be genuine.  Nice touch misspelling Reid’s last name, unknown 1971 graphics engineer.  Is it just me, or does that look more like Merlin Olsen and his son at “Bring Your Child to Work Day?”

Obviously Reid was one of those kids who was big for his age, and because of that he was able to overpower everyone with his size and strength.  I’m going to assume he won this particular competition, just by looking at his diminutive challenger there.

Video of Reid’s big right arm after the jump…

And in handy dandy GIF form…

That’s a big time cannon right there, but what would you expect from a kid who could harness great mustache power at the tender age of 13?
