“Football Cops” With Peyton and Eli Manning Looks Awesome, Isn’t a Real Show

And that’s just too damn bad because if you ask me—and I’m just basing this on this 2-minute trailer—it would totally blow away anything found on TV today. Two cops who subdue criminals with well-thrown footballs, sporting 70′s era mustaches, and they’re played by the Manning brothers? That there is good watching.

Unfortunately for us, “Football Cops” is nothing but a DirecTV ad campaign—a well scripted, well acted, and well thought out ad campaign, but an ad campaign nonetheless.

So sit back and watch Officer Mike Tahoe (Peyton) and Officer C.J. Hunter (Eli) dish out some pigskin justice on the mean streets of Anytown, U.S.A.

Yeah, we’d totally watch that.
