DeMarcus Cousins Isn’t a Bad Guy, He’s Just Misunderstood—His Leg Says So

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins suffered through a turbulent first season in the NBA, thanks in large part to his own immaturity and hotheadedness.  Between the multiple ejections, getting kicked out of practice, and fighting with teammate Donte Green which resulted in Cousins being left behind in Sacramento while the rest of the team went on to Phoenix, it’s easy to forget that the former Kentucky Wildcat had a decent year basketball wise, finishing with 14.1 PPG, 8.6 RPG, and being named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

But is Cousins really the childish badboy he comes off as, or is there something deeper to the big man?  Could it be that he’s just a gentle giant who gets swept up in the competition and gamesmanship of professional basketball?  Or is he an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, shrouded in a Kings jersey?

If you ask the man himself, he’ll just tell you he’s one thing and one thing only—misunderstood.

And even if he won’t say it, his new leg tattoo most definitely will.

It’s hard to make out, but that is indeed the word “MISUNDERSTOOD” emblazoned on Cousins’ leg over top a question mark.  So does that mean he might be misunderstood, or that he is misunderstood but only he knows it and it’s up to us to figure out if he is a misunderstood individual or just a man-child with anger issues.  Either way, that giant question mark just adds to the mystery and mystique of DeMarcus’ leg art.

I guess leg tattoos are the new hotness for ink this year.  How does Cousins’ tat measure up to the leg tattoos of Rex Ryan, Joey Bouchard, and the dudes who had Kobe and LeBron permanently etched on their lower limbs?
