Rec League Hockey Team May Have the Best Blue Jays Inspired Jerseys Out There

Came across these badass hockey jerseys while perusing Twitter and thought what the hell, they’re close enough to the much ballyhooed new Blue Jays retro-inspired jerseys to warrant their own post.  Plus I’m hoping someone takes the hint and scores me one of these beauties for Christmas (you know who you are).

According to Jesse Unrath, the fine young man who uploaded the above pic to Twitter, these awesome jerseys are worn by a rec hockey team in Medicine Hat, Alberta (yes folks, it’s a real place) called the Element Blue Jays, named for a bar of the same name. Jesse says that they had the jerseys designed after one of Toronto’s retro uniforms (think early 80s) without knowing what the new Jays jerseys would look like. Luckily for the Element Blue Jays, Canada’s only pro baseball team went with a much loved retro feel for their new unis, making their hockey jerseys not only vintage cool, but new look cool as well.

I don’t know how Jesse and his teammates feel, but wins and losses don’t matter when you’re scoring as many style points as the Element Blue Jays are with those killer jerseys.
