Sounds Like Charles Barkley is Sick of Tim “The National Nightmare” Tebow

When Charles Barkley talks, people listen.  This can be attributed to Barkley’s willingness not to pull punches when asked for his opinion on certain things.  Throw in the fact that he’s an honest and funny person at heart, and it’s no wonder that interviewers are quick to sit down with Sir Charles and pepper him with questions on a vast array of subjects.

The TNT basketball analyst was a recent guest of Mike Missanelli on 97.5 the Fanatic in Philly, and one of the many items Missanelli asked Charles to expound upon was the sweeping phenomenon that is Broncos QB Tim Tebow.  Judging by Barkley’s glib response, he’s had just about enough of Tebowmania.

From Sports Radio Interviews

“The national nightmare continues. Hey listen I like Tim Tebow but there comes a point, he had a great game. He’s supposed to have a great game. They want to make it seem like oh the world is aligned correct. I’m like he does play quarterback. He is supposed to play well. (Host: So you’ve had enough of Tebow?) I think the world has. (Host: There’s a lot of Tebow fans out there. I’ve had enough and I’m not a big Tebow guy and they’re just killing me about Tebow.) First of all Mike I don’t know anything you said about Tebow but let’s just say the jury is still out on Tebow. He seems like a nice kid but these ups and downs are so different. The jury is still out on Tebow. Just because he had a great game and made four or five great throws yesterday doesn’t mean he’s gonna be a great starting quarterback in the NFL.”

Barkley’s response won’t go over well in Denver, the part of the country where Tebow is most revered, outside of Gainesville, Florida, of course.  Will Chuck feel any backlash from the citizens of Colorado’s most populous city?  Hardly.  If there’s any celebrity who can trash a fellow celebrity or athlete without fear of reprisal, it’s Charles Barkley.

You can’t teach that.

And once again Barkley shows just how ignorant he really is.

    He’s supposed to have a great game….
. I’m like he does play quarterback. He is supposed to play well.  ” – That’s brilliant.  So if a player is a quarterback, he’s ‘supposed’ to have a great game.  So conversely, if a player is not a quarterback, then he’s not supposed to have a great game?  What a moron.

Barkley would claim that since Michael Jordan was expected to eclipse others, he’s no big deal…. Ali was “The Greatest”,  so his career was not that impressive…. etc.

Please stick to basketball Charles, because I don’t watch it.

I find it interesting that Charles Barkley is sick of hearing about a FAITH FILLED Tim Tebow. Yet little does he realize how many individuals were sick of hearing his whining, accusations of racism, and plain old ranting whenever he felt an “injustice”. I do not see, nor hear that from Tim Tebow. Instead I see a young man who is proud of his FAITH and is willing to share it with the world.   Charles Barkley you are showing: #1 you are obviously racist against white people,  #2 you are  using your liberal voice in attempt to persecute a Christian, #3 your jealousy of this young man is extremely apparent, #4 Anytime you are on any show I turn it off………….why? your racism, hate, lack of faith, and your boasting of your vices (gambling, etc), make me sick to my stomach. So, as I change the channel when you are on the TV. You have every right to change the channel when Tim Tebow is on the TV.   May God have mercy on your soul for your continued attempts to cause division in this country by your horrendous rhetoric. Your words are dangerous, may God forgive you, for you know not what you do or say. God, please allow this soul to be saved, and may he come to an understanding of his hateful words.

How is critiquing Tebow’s skills an attack on Tebow’s faith by Barkley?  Bible-bangers love to stir the pot and make themselves into martyrs.  Get off the cross and use the wood to build a bridge and get over it.
