Since when is being a PGA cameraman the world’s most dangerous job?

Since Dustin Johnson started wailing shots at the poor bastards perched on a camera tower, that’s when.

Johnson’s errant tee shot on No.18 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship was so far off the mark that it ended up nailing the camera crane just a few feet below the cameraman stationed atop it.  No doubt that the defenseless camera operator was carrying a brickload in his pants once he realized that a golf ball was flying directly at him at 100 mph, and his only course of action was to curl up in the fetal position and brace for impact, or dive off the tower and hope to land on a group of pudgy golf enthusiasts.

Heads up, anonymous camera guy…

I’m not sure what’s more amazing—that Johnson was able to hit that 2-foot wide crane, or that someone was willing to work at such a high altitude on such a tiny platform.
