New York Jets idea of team building exercises includes 20 player brawls at end of practice

Coaches love to see intensity and passion from their players during training camp, but leave it to the Jets to ramp things up a bit in that department.  This past Monday a brawl broke out at the end of morning practice when Joe McKnight was pushed out of bounds by D’Anton Lynn after catching a pass from Greg McElroy.  The two got into a scrap and 18 of their closest teammates decided to join in the fun, because nothing brings a team closer together than fighting each other in August training camp.

At least that’s how NY Daily News Jets beat writer Manish Mehta reported the brouhaha.  Personally, I’d like to think it was a Twilight-esque Team Tebow/Team Sanchez argument that escalated from innocent name calling to all-out fisticuffs.  That would make a lot more sense in the cuckoo clock world that is the New York Jets organization.

And here’s video of a bunch of big men in football equipment stupidly fighting with each other…

Jets are already in midseason form…and that’s not good.
