Try as you might, you will never be as great as Dr. William Bell, the 90-year-old pole vaulter

And he looks better shirtless than you do too.

Dr. William Bell, whose son Earl won the silver medal in pole vaulting at the 1984 Olympic games, is the world record holder for pole vaulters in his age group.  I’m sure that group is quite small in number, seeing that Dr. Bell is 90-years-old.

Let’s watch him vault over this 7-foot-2 bar so we can feel crappy about how terribly out of shape the rest of us are…

If I live to be 90, which I probably won’t, I’ll be lucky if I can use the bathroom on my own, let alone pole vault three times a week.
