Kansas high school team scores touchdown after intercepting botched shotgun snap (VIDEO)

That’s a shame.

All of you who’ve ever been witness to a shotgun snap intercepted and returned for a touchdown please step forward.  Anyone?  No?  Didn’t think so.  Well now you have, courtesy of a high school game in southwest Kansas this past Friday between rival schools Dodge City and Garden City.  Center Mitch Morris botches the snap, sending the ball straight up where Demon DB Immanuel Galloway snatches it out of the air and gallops 78-yards to paydirt.

As the always sharp Sharapova’s Thigh points out, Morris’ terrible snap wouldn’t have been such a big deal, except that his Garden City team lost to Dodge City by a score of 24-20 in the rival teams’ annual “Hatchet Game.”

I recommend watching this video a few more times, then a few more after that.  Not because it’s such a unique play, but because it will be infinitely better than anything you’ll see on the woeful Thursday nighter between the Chiefs and Chargers.
