Sweden and England met up in an international friendly on Wednesday at Sweden’s new national stadium, and the home squad came away with a 4-2 victory, thanks to striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s quartet of goals. If you happened to be watching this match you might have thought that Ibrahimovic’s third goal, scored on a gorgeous free kick, might have been his best one of the day.
You’d have been wrong.
His fourth and final goal of the game came on a ridiculously amazing bicycle kick after England goalkeeper Joe Hart attempted an ill-fated clearing header. The stunner of a goal was worth the price of admission alone for the 50,000 plus in attendance and a reminder of just how stellar a player Zlatan is. Unfortunately for Ibrahimovic today was the day FIFA released their candidates for “10 Best Goals of the Year,” which—sadly for them I guess as well—came out a day too early, as it will be an incomplete list without this absolute gem on it.
UPDATE: FIFA has a thing about copyrighting and whatnot, so here’s a couple of GIFs of Ibrahimovic’s goal, just in case the video gets taken down…
