Vince Young goes job hunting on Twitter, reaches out to Larry Fitzgerald and the Cards

I’m not sure what’s more pathetic—the Cardinals quarterback situation, their 58-0 loss at the hands of the Seahawks, or Vince Young using Twitter to ask Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald to help him land a job with the Cards.  Probably the last one, because it’s apparent that Young hasn’t got an ounce of pride left in him.

Look, it’s not like Young couldn’t help—anything would be an upgrade over John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Kevin Kolb—but this isn’t the way to go about auditioning for a job.  I’m sure the Arizona front office knows you’re available Vince, but the fact that Week 14 is nearly over and they haven’t contacted you means that you haven’t been, and will never be, a viable option at quarterback for them, no matter if Fitzgerald speaks on your behalf or not.  Truth hurts, but it’s time to move on, little buckaroo.

Young has since deleted the tweet but this being the Internet and all, it’s been saved numerous times over.  Besides, the damage is done, and that lingering smell of desperation hanging around VY will be with him for a good, long while.
