Blake Griffin goes from finger roll to slam dunk in midair with ease

Blake GriffinIt’s truly amazing to see Blake Griffin go from an easy finger roll layup to a dunk in midair during the Clippers’ Pacific Division clinching 109-95 victory over the Lakers. It’s like Griffin got up there and decided that layups are for mere mortals, and he, being a basketball playing god, best stick to his bread-and-butter and slam it home.

Two things that stand out in this incredible clip—1) you can almost see the moment that Griffin makes the decision to forego the finger roll and switch to the one handed slam (after he remembers that he is indeed Blake Griffin), and 2) I’m willing to bet any money that Lakers center Dwight Howard’s one and only thought watching Griffin’s spectacular play was that he wished he could do that (Ed. note: by any money I mean less than or equal to $1.63).
