Jeff Francoeur celebrates triple by tapping his 3rd base coach in the junk

balltapRoyals outfielder Jeff Francoeur connected for a triple in Kansas City’s Tuesday night win over the Rays, the 24th of his career. Upon reaching 3rd base and calling time, Francoeur decided to celebrate his three base hit with 3rd base coach Eddie Rodriguez in a rather unconventional manner.

With a celebratory tap to Rodriguez’s balls.

The gesture, while probably meant to be loving and meaningful, seemed to catch Rodriguez off guard. Luckily for him baseball coaches are required to wear protective cups at all times, especially when in the presence of Jeff Francoeur.

One man tapping another man’s balls is a special moment that needs to be seen in GIF form…
