San Jose Sharks destroy ESPN’s lame attempt at ‘Sharknado’ inspired Twitter humor

Sharknado was the cultural phenomenon that America, nay the world, sorely needed to help us remember why it’s great to be alive in these times. Playing off the Tara Reid/Ian Ziering vehicle’s viral popularity, ESPN’s official Twitter account reached out to the San Jose Sharks official Twitter account to ask them if they’d consider a name change in the wake of Sharknado’s success…

Not a great joke, very vanilla and pedestrian in my opinion, but certainly good enough to warrant a response from the Sharks, which they did, but not in the playful, return the favor way you’d think…

Boom, roasted! Sullying the good name of Sharknado by incorporating it into some lame attempt at humor will get you a verbal beatdown every time.
