Marlins forget simple rule of only one player to a base (GIF)

When you’re a Major League baseball team that has a 49-82 record after having sold off the majority of  your assets, you have to expect the occasional bit of baserunning goofery. In the 6th inning of Wednesday night’s Marlins-Nationals game, two Miami players—Logan Morrison and Donovan Solano—tried sliding into 3rd base at the same time, and the end result was a play that summed up the Marlins entire season in a proverbial nutshell.

Nats shortstop Ian Desmond was so confused by the whole thing that he tried tagging out both players. When all was said and done, Morrison was called out but Solano was deemed safe by the 3rd base ump. It’s equally as funny and confusing in GIF form…
