HS football team blocks game winning field goal attempt, ends up losing anyway

This past Friday night’s high school football game between Columbia River (Wash.) and Skyview (Wash.) was proof positive that you always, always play to the whistle. Down 24-23 with mere seconds left on the clock, Columbia River attempted the game winning field goal, only to have it blocked cleanly by Skyview. As the Columbia River players milled around on the field in stunned disbelief, Skyview ran to the sidelines celebrating their apparent victory…until Columbia remembered that the play was still live since the ball had failed to cross the line of scrimmage. They picked up the loose ball and ran it in for the touchdown and wild 29-24 victory.

Best enjoyed from multiple angles…

Pretty sure Skyview’s premature celebration belongs somewhere on this list, the only question is where?
