Carter Hutton’s Save of the Year Candidate will leave you speechless

Preds goalie Carter Hutton stopped 27 shots (plus five in the shootout) in Nashville’s 4-3 win over the Flyers Thursday night, including one that was so incredible that, hyperbole aside, it is the clear frontrunner for ‘Save of the Year.’

During the second period Hutton ventured behind the net to play the puck on a shoot-in, except that thanks to a weird bounce, the puck found it’s way out front and onto the stick of Flyers forward Michael Raffl, who had an empty net staring him in the face like some yawning chasm. Despite being as out of position as a goalie could be, Hutton was able to recover enough to make the spectacular glove save and absolutely rob Raffl, leaving the Philly winger with a look of utter bewilderment on his face…
