In case you missed it yesterday, Bubba Watson won the 2012 Masters in a two-hole playoff over South African Louis Oosthuizen to capture the first major championship of his career. Not only is Watson the first man named Bubba to win the tournament (research pending), but damn will he look good cruising around town in his original General Lee while wearing his brand new green jacket.
But Watson’s win in itself was just one of the highlights of Sunday at the Masters. And if you were one of the unlucky few who missed the tourney’s final day, then you missed quite a bit. There were amazing shots, emotions flowing like liquid cheese, and an awkward handshake that didn’t take. Read more ›
Late in the third quarter of the Clippers 109-94 win over the Kings, Blake Griffin got away on a partial fast-break that would have led to an easy basket had Sacramento forward Donte Green not flagrantly fouled the streaking Griffin, knocking him to the floor. As he’s going down in a heap Griffin throws up a prayer of an awkward shot that lo and behold goes in, yet, when all is said and done, doesn’t count for squat because the refs ruled that Green’s foul occurred before the shot.
Still, fortuitous shot or not, this is just further proof that Blake Griffin is very good at basketball.

Inspiring doesn’t even begin to describe the scene on Thursday when Iraq war veteran Jeremy Feldbusch, a former member of the Army Rangers and current representative of the Wounded Warriors project, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at PNC Park before the start of the Phillies-Pirates game. You see, not only is Feldbusch an army vet, he’s also blind, the result of being hit by shrapnel some nine years ago while serving a tour of duty in the Middle East.
With the help of his guide, Feldbusch tosses a perfect strike to Bucs pitcher Charlie Morton, who’s stationed at home plate. Granted the pitch is nowhere near the strike zone, but considering the circumstances surrounding the gentleman who’s doing the pitching, that’s a perfect strike if ever there was one. Read more ›

If you want to draw a big crowd to your Easter worship service, you have to book a big name. And there’s none bigger than new Jets quarterback, and devout Christian, Tim Tebow. On Sunday Tebow will be making an appearance at the Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas, where he will speaking for about 20 minutes to a potential crowd of 30,000 worshipers.
Good thing the church sits on 60 acres, otherwise there would be some difficulty accommodating all those people. Now the question is, what about washroom privileges? Hopefully there will be enough portable toilets for 30,000 churchgoers, because if not, things could get awfully messy. Read more ›
