Oh you crazed Kentucky fans, are there no limits to your obsessive fandom? If you’re not fighting with Louisville fans at a dialysis clinic, you’re decorating your pets in a Wildcats motif by drawing Anthony Davis’ now famous unibrow onto your cat’s forehead, in what can only be described as an act of extremely mild animal cruelty. Yes, cruelty. Even members of the feline species are supposed to have two separate and distinct eyebrows…it’s science. Besides, everybody knows unibrows are never a good look, and all you’ve done is subjected your pet cat to unnecessary taunting and insults from neighborhood cats, all because of your love of Kentucky basketball.
You know you’re dying to see what a cat looks like with Anthony Davis’ giant eyebrow, so here you go… Read more ›
Most people who know basketball know that the in-state rivalry between the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals is pretty intense, and with the two teams meeting in Saturday’s National Semifinal with a trip to the National Championship game on the line, the antagonism between the warring fanbases is ramping up. But there has to be a limit to how far UK and UofL fans are willing to take their dislike for each other, and I think fighting while receiving dialysis treatment may just be that limit.
On Monday police had to be called to a Georgetown Dialysis Clinic after a a UK fan was punched by a UofL fan when the two disagreed over who would win the Battle for the Bluegrass redux on Saturday. Why didn’t the Wildcats fan, one Ed Wilson, retaliate against Cards fan Charles Taylor after Taylor hit him in the face? Well he would have, except he was hooked up to his dialysis machine at the time.
I’ll take “Things You Don’t See Everyday at a Dialysis Clinic” for $400, Alex. Read more ›
Marquette held an open practice at the US Airways Center in Phoenix as they prepare for their Thursday regional semifinal against Florida. The No.3 seed Golden Eagles are facing a tough task against the Gators if they want to advance to the Elite Eight, so it’s up to coach Buzz Williams to keep his team loose yet focused.
And how, pray tell, does Buzz accomplish such a thing? By turning his baseball cap backwards, draining a half-court shot, then dropping to the floor and pretending to swim, also known as the “Olympic Swimmer” dance (according to the vlogger anyway), while sporting a huge smile the whole time.
In essence, pure goofiness. Read more ›
How great is it that truTV is broadcasting a portion of the NCAA Tournament? For one thing it means more televised Charles Barkley, and we all know that the more airtime Sir Charles receives, a better place the world becomes.
To wit, check out Barkley’s response to Ernie Johnson plugging the show Hardcore Pawn, which was set to follow truTV’s March Madness coverage. Chuck lets it be know that he’s a fan of something hardcore that starts with a P and ends with an N and rhymes with corn. Read more ›

While officiating Thursday night’s Kentucky-Georgia college basketball game, referee Antinio Petty was on the receiving end of an errant Bulldogs pass, taking a ball right to the head. Dazed, possibly hurt, Petty did what any man in his situation would do…he fell into the Kentucky cheerleading squad.
Given the options, I say that was the best possible choice given the man’s condition at that moment. Read more ›
On Friday night Division II conference rivals Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Dominguez Hills met in the final game of the regular season, with playoff seeding on the line. As you can tell from the picture the final score was 60-58 in double OT for Cal Poly, but how the two teams ended up there is simply amazing.
Down 57-55, Cal State’s Robert Willhite dropped a three-pointer to put the Toros up by one with only 0.6 seconds left on the game clock. But that’s all the time that the Broncos needed, as junior guard Mitchel Anderson heaved up a prayer from beyond halfcourt as the buzzer sounded that found nothing but net. Read more ›
